A night of carols, drama and light.
MOSHIA is a carol service, a theatre production and a celebration in one: the night an amphitheatre in Ile-Ife becomes Bethlehem.
MOSHIA means Saviour.
Long before the carols, a promise was spoken over a waiting people: a Saviour would come, and He would be King.
MOSHIA, Hebrew for “Saviour”, tells that story as a royal revelation. Staged like a film and sung like a carol service, it moves from ancient courts and desert roads to one small, blinding light that the darkness cannot put out.

Three movements, one night
The promiseA people waiting in the dark
Generations have held on to one word from the prophets: a ruler will come, and His kingdom will have no end. The story opens in that long night of waiting.
The roadKings, shepherds and a census
Palaces scheme, travellers crowd the roads to Bethlehem, and there is no room anywhere. The royal and the ordinary are about to meet.
The lightThe Saviour is born
In a borrowed stable, the light the prophets spoke of finally arrives. Carols rise, the darkness gives way, and the whole amphitheatre sings.
“Yet in thy dark streets shineth the everlasting Light”

An open bowl of stone.
On any other night it is steps, sky and silence: a place people cross on the way to somewhere else. Then, on the 18th of December…
